For Bella:     In Memoriam
La Nostra is a 44 foot, cutter rigged sailboat.  Built by CSY (Caribbean Sailing Yachts), she was specifically designed for the charter business in the Caribbean.  She features a huge center cockpit which is protected from the tropical sun by a full bimini top.  There are two private staterooms, each with their own private bath and shower, and plenty of ventilation and standing headroom throughout.
Weighing over 16 tons she is safe and very comfortable.  With 400 gallons of fresh water, 100 gallons of diesel fuel and more refrigerator and freezer space than many homes she is well able to care of her passengers and crew on extended cruises.

The main salon is bright and airy, providing a comfortable place to lounge and relax.
The aft cabin - usually given to our guests - has plenty of ventilation and offers complete privacy from the rest of the boat.  The sleeping arrangements allow for either two "twin size" berths or, by sleeping athwart ships (that's crosswise for you landlubbers) a queen-size sleeping space becomes an option.

There's plenty of room in the cockpit which serves as the helm station while under way and the "patio" at anchor.  The high seatbacks provide good support and safety while the full cushions make things nice and comfy.  At mealtime, an ingenious table slips into place allowing 6 to dine with no crowding.
Of course, its no fun cruising on an empty stomach - and when Harry and Barbara "do their thing" in the galley (with an occasional assist from the guests) amazing things happen!  (Wait 'til you taste fresh lobster steamed on board and eaten in the cockpit under the stars.)
On Board Equipment:  La Nostra is equipped with a 10 1/2 foot hard-bottomed inflatable dinghy powered by a 15 hp outboard engine.  We use this to scoot back and forth to shore, as a snorkeling platform and to just go exploring in new anchorages.

We also carry an assortment of snorkeling equipment (although we do strongly suggest you bring your own mask to ensure a comfortable fit), fishing gear and a charcoal bar-b-que on the aft deck.
In the main salon there is an AM/FM radio with CD player and MP3 and high-quality stereo speakers both below and in the cockpit ... but (and we consider this a special bonus) no TV!
